Archsee Basilica of St James the Elder
Gothic, hall, parish church of medieval Olsztyn. Co – cathedral of Warmia, since 1992 – an archsee. The main church for the archbishop of Warmia, who resides in Olsztyn. It became a Cathedral Basilica in 2004.
Upper GateThe only preserved gate in the medieval fortified city walls of Olsztyn. It was an element of defensive system, sheltering the city from the North. In the 19th century the Gate became a prison, where Wojciech Kętrzyński was detained in 1863. Currently it hosts a hotel.
Castle of the Chapter of the Warmia Diocese in OlsztynThe chapter castle of the District of Olsztyn (komornictwo olsztyńskie), property of the chapter of Warmia in Frombork between 1397 and 1772. Situated in the bend of the Łyna River. Currently a seat of Warmia and Mazury Museum.
